First description of our project[modifier | modifier le wikicode]

First description of our project's idea

Choosing a career path early enough to ensure a dynamic future and a reduction in unemployment

Please answer to the three expected questions:

1. What Problem do you want to solve ?

We want to solve the unemployment problem through the orientation during school years

The unemployment rate of those who did not complete high school is almost three times higher (13%) than that of higher education graduates (5%).

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) ensures that young graduates of higher education are more spared by unemployment in times of crisis.

2. Why does this problem exist?

If education is not the most important constraint, it remains a major problem.

Experts-country of Emerging Country and Asia feel that the lack of education and skills mismatches are the main barriers faced by young people on the labor market in about half of the survey countries. When young people in North Africa are asked for why they don’t find jobs, the third most frequently cited reason is the lack of adequate training.

In addition, for younger no course is professionalizing before they are 14-15 years old and there is not enough information about career choices and not early enough.

And for example, in France, even if it’s an emerging trend, we are not pushed enough to create our own projects.

3. What breakthrough are you commited to creating?

We would like young people to know early what they want to do in future We don’t necessarily want to push young people to do long studies, but that young people find their way sooner and more easily. We want to reduce the number of early school leavers and thus eventually reducing the future rate of unemployment.

We expect that the crowd creates:

An international level information campaign on the problem and the available solutions or A more attractive personality test on computer or mobile phone that would indicate the professional way that suits us best (in the style of Akinator) or A game dedicated to the understanding and creation of projects as soon as possible or Business simulation games / Serious games

Criteria for achieving the challenge:

  • Less early school leavers: reduce the number of young people leaving the education system without qualification.
  • Current survey to know the level of information on possible career choices and compared to the same survey conducted after the project launch: Comparison of survey responses must show an evolution in the understanding of career choices available
  • Have a positive impact on the unemployment rate
