“Can you reduce significantly traffic jam?”

1. What Problem do you want to solve ? Who has never been stuck in traffic on Monday morning, or the day you go on holiday? Who has never been fed up with driving whereas news indicates a lot of traffic? Times flies, the engine runs, irritation starts … Each driver is powerless behind the wheel of the car. It’s time to resolve this problem! Traffic is harmful for people! Pollution peak during rush hours, the waste of time for the employees (to go work or back home), the loss of productivity for the companies which see their employees arrived stressed at work … This is the main problem of the road’s efficiency!

2. Why does this problem exist? The car is the most used way of transportation! In the biggest towns or on many highways, the volume of cars is superior to roads capacities. It results to develop a traffic jam problem during rush hours. So, each time that too much cars be on the road during the same time, it creates traffic issues. Everything comes from the development of work, hobbies and duty and the fact that a car is essential.

3. What breakthrough are you commited to creating? By attacking the traffic jam problem, we want to make resolve three problems: - Pollution generated by too much cars blocked - Waste of time for every drivers - Stress and nervousness created by long wait on the road We want to make roads easier and more pleasant for drivers. We will apply the most sustainable issues in order to realize this project. It’s not only to reduce drive durations, but solutions will be committed to reduce CO2 emissions in congested cities and also stress of road users.

Those are two problems which are often aimed nowadays without any clear and efficient solution yet.

Which criteria must be fulfilled to judge that the challenge is met? A) Criteria for performance: - Time spent in traffic jam must be reduced by at least 50% - This shouldn’t add time or route for drivers (route’s extension is possible only if it’s result a gain of time)

B) Criteria for application: - Cost don’t feel by drivers - Cost for cities and communities must easily integrate urban spending - Don’t disturb inhabitants in areas - Be secure for drivers and pedestrians
